2007 MIMA Music Expansion Projects

International:
MIMA Music will expand outwards around the USA and internationally:
Beijing, Dubrovnik, Kingston, Los Angeles, Madrid, New Orleans, New York, Philadelphia, Rio de Janeiro, and San Francisco.

Spain:
A noteworthy project in 2007 is collaborating with the Communidad de Madrid,
the US Embassy in Spain, the Spanish NGO Fundeso, and Manuel Rodriguez Guitarras
to launch a SpinJazz program and the "Escuela MIMA Music" in the new
African Cultural Center in Madrid, Spain.

Jamaica:
MIMA Music will collaborate with the musician Mystic Bowie,
to open up a music school and franchise in Jamaica.
Mystic Bowie's 2007 summer tour is presented by MIMA Music and will help raise awareness for this project.

Brazil:
MIMA Music will release its new documentary, "Hello! Brazil", in 2008,
which features Brazilian Culture Minister Gilberto Gil, Creative Commons
Founder Lawrence Lessig, and drumming icon Leon Mobley.

Publishing:
MIMA Music will record its SpinJazz programs around the world and
archive them in a MIMA Music Archive with Creative Commons/ MIMA Music Copyright Licenses.
MIMA Music's recordings of live and improvised music will be made available to the public
for free for future educational use.

SpinJazz™ After-school

We set up free after-school music lessons
for 8-12 year old children who don't have music education during school hours.





SpinJazz™ In-school


We give motivational music presentations/performances to High School and college students.

    


SpinJazz™ Live


We host group jam sessions, drum sessions, and performances for all ages (including adults)
at any location (including your home).






SpinJazz™ Worldwide


We offer international music internships to college students.







SpinJazz™ Video Production


We specialize in producing music videos and educational music documentaries.

SpinJazz™ Publishing


We publish our own curriculum, news, reviews, blogs, and children's books.

SpinJazz™ Records


We can help you write, record, and publish your songs.
