OPERATIONAL HISTORY
Overview |
Christoph A. Geiseler founded MIMA Music in 2004 upon graduating from Princeton University, where he wrote his senior thesis about creating a nonprofit called MIMA that would use free music programs to build community on college campuses (A.B. Politics cum laude). Over the last four years, MIMA Music has garnered the support of distinguished academics, individuals, musicians, and sponsors for this initiative because it promotes peace and fosters social integration for marginalized populations.
|
Strategic Alliance |
MIMA Music has close ties to Princeton University, the Louis Armstrong Educational Foundation, Creative Commons, and NAMM (SupportMusic).
Past and present support for MIMA Music comes from the Bank of America Foundation, the Edward T. Cone Foundation, the Google Foundation, the Love 4 One Another Foundation, Manuel Rodriguez Guitarras, Remo, Inc., Scion USA, and the US Embassy in Madrid.
